I started my career as a Junior Copywriter at Public Graphics, an international advertisement agency in 1994, and continued with the advertising, television and university sectors. I specialized in corporate communication with my experience in both the creative team and the advertiser side. I witnessed TV channel TV8's transition to broadcast life in frequency reception and its ability to have a say among the next thematic channels. Afterwards, I switched to the field of media relations, where I combined my experience as a copywriter, reporter and editor at the European Union Project in Kocaeli. I received an offer from the senior managers of the Istanbul Kultur University at a conference organized by them and I met with the university, which is totally different sector for me. I was responsible for the implementation of many firsts in my 10-year university working life. My personal awareness journey started following my decision on lasting my career as a freelance copywriter. I asked the question “Why not?” to myself at some point in my journey. I attended the university exam in 2020 as a result of this question, and won the Altinbas University Fine Arts and Design Faculty Jewelry Design Department with a scholarship. My return to university as a student, which I see as a gift of the pandemic; I can define it as "translating the stories I'm used to telling with words into design language". Aslıhan Sönmez
